Dr Kellie Taylor

Kellie completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science with first class honours in 2002 from the University of Newcastle, before completing postgraduate training and gaining a Bachelor of Medicine with Distinction from University of Newcastle in 2008. She also received the Faculty Medal for Medicine and the Australian Medical Association Prize on graduation in 2008.  

Kellie completed her Physician and Gastroenterology specialty training at Royal North Shore, Concord, Gosford and Bankstown Hospitals before gaining her fellowship in 2019.  Kellie has worked as a Staff Specialist Consultant Gastroenterologist on the Central Coast with appointments at both Gosford and Wyong Hospital since 2020. She also performs endoscopic procedures privately.

Kellie is a dedicated physician and general Gastroenterologist who takes pride in providing personalised care with empathy and compassion. Her specific areas of interest include general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease and bowel cancer surveillance. She believes that healthcare should be comprehensive and that the management of gastrointestinal problems should be individualised, considering each individual’s unique situation and background to optimise success. She is passionate about providing holistic, evidence-based care and is committed to continued professional and personal development. She has previously received awards for her involvement in the teaching of both medical students and junior doctors.

Both Kellie and her husband grew up in lower Lake Macquarie and this is where they now raise two sons. Outside of work Kellie enjoys spending time with family and growing a variety of fruits and vegetables in their home garden.
